INTRODUCTION To 4Cs
leadership AND LEARNING
Our mission is to support educational leaders and teachers to empower themselves, their communities and their learners through the 4Cs (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Reflection). It is through a deeper understanding of these four capabilities that you can unlock the ability to create experiences and environments that generate deeper learning, transformative action and agency.
This course is designed to engage you in rigorous discussion about these capabilities with teachers from all over the world and offer you the tools needed to translate conceptual knowledge into transformative action.
The course will be facilitated by Dan Bell and Alice Fenton, 4CTL Practice Leaders.
Who is this course designed for?
Educators (early childhood, primary, secondary or tertiary) with a curiosity about the 4Cs and a desire to learn practical strategies and tools that can transform the way they, and their learners, learn.
Educational leaders wanting insights and practical ways to develop 4C capabilities in the people and organisations they lead.
What will you learn?
We know that the 4Cs is a buzz word thrown around a lot in education. In this course you’ll learn what they really mean and why they really matter. You will learn how they underpin every leadership and classroom interaction and how understanding this can give you insights into how to generate change in classrooms and schools.
You will also learn:
a metalanguage that 1000s of teachers and leaders use to understand 4C processes
strategies for bringing the 4Cs to life in your schools or classrooms
how you can use coherence makers and schemas to explicitly teach and reflect on the 4Cs
to recognise 4C capacities in yourself and others
design learning for others to experience and build the 4Cs
COURSE DESIGN
5 x 2 hour embodied, interactive, challenging and practical zoom workshops with our team to explore and develop fluency in the use of 4Cs language, processes and coherence makers.
