Education Leaders’ Retreat
March 26th & 27th, 2025
Parklands Country Gardens & Lodges, Blackheath
Leading for School Transformation
A 2-day workshop for our network principals and senior leaders.
The 5th annual 4CTL Education Leaders’ Retreat - is taking place in March 2026. This year we’re excited to be diving deeper into the concepts of Leadership for School Transformation, the soon-to-be-released new book by Dr Miranda Jefferson and Professor Michael Anderson.
Leading for School Transformation acknowledges that powerful and effective school leadership is difficult, demanding and often not taught to, or event talked about with, school leaders as they’re growing into their leadership capacity.
Understanding leadership as an agent of transformation is only the first step. Putting it into practice in the day-to-day processes, choices and amid the inevitable challenges, or just the ongoing grind of school leading, is where the challenge truly lies.
The focus of this retreat will be to engage our network principals and school leaders in deeper layers of understanding, critical reflection on their own practice as leaders, the leadership needs of their own schools and contexts, and where learning and leading intersect in leaders, to facilitate transformation.
We will address key questions such as:
Why do we need transformational leadership, and why now?
How do we lead and grow a culture of transformational leadership?
How do we continue to engage in transformational vision and mission work, while facing very real, day-to-day challenges and opportunities?
What is a challenge or restriction in your school, right now, which could benefit from transformational leadership?
What action is required to continue growing the culture of transformational leadership in your school?.
