The 4th annual 4CTL Principals’ Retreat - now our Education Leaders’ Retreat - is taking place in March. This year, it promises a robust exploration and application of the vital capability of Creativity. 

Creativity Through Restriction, our theme for 2025’s Retreat, acknowledges that school leadership is unpredictable and complex, requiring constant navigation of external and internal restrictions.

Harnessing individual creative capacity, and developing and sustaining creative leadership cultures, are powerful ways to ensure schools remain places of agency and human flourishing, even within the confines of these restrictions. 

The focus of this retreat will be an unpacking of what it means to support, facilitate and lead with creativity within the restrictions we face, and an exploration of the practical, actionable things we can do to achieve this.

We will address key questions such as:

  • Why do we need creativity in leadership, and why now?

  • How do we lead and grow a culture of creative leadership?

  • How do we mobilise creativity in response to specific challenges and opportunities?

  • What is a challenge or restriction in your school, right now, which would benefit from a creative response?  

  • What action is required to continue growing the culture of creative leadership in your school?

About the Retreat

This vibrant and rigorous Professional Learning opportunity enables school leaders to delve deeply into a 4C approach to leading transformation specific to their school’s context. The retreat is also a chance to network, collaborate and deeply learn with other school leaders, and the 4CTL team, away from the school’s day-to-day needs. The learning at the retreat engages with relevant theory, processes for 4C leadership, and structured opportunities to apply new learning to each leaders’ individual school context.

$1200 + GST per person

 
 

Included in your price:

  • Two days of embodied, practical deep learning with 4CTL team members

  • Lunch, morning and afternoon tea on both days

  • Retreat dinner on Thursday evening

  • One night accomodation at Parklands (Thursday 13th)

  • Breakfast on Friday 14th in Parklands buffet

 

Extra nights accommodation on Wednesday 12th and Friday 14th are available for $300/night.
